Academy Curriculum

The training is an eight-week course that includes lectures, team projects, case studies, simulations, and guest speakers. Students are taught to identify micro-enterprise opportunities within their communities and learn basic business principles such as organization, marketing, bookkeeping, employee management, and inventory control. Instructors challenge social norms associated with money, business, success, and work, and teach students to think outside the limitations of their cultural bias. Upon graduation, students have access to a large support network through one of our 23 Alumni Chapters for ongoing mentoring, networking, and training.

The Academy also offers a two-week immersion course for Church leaders that features the same program as the regular curriculum, only faster. This course is designed to help students teach entrepreneurial principles to their congregations and communities back home.

The Academy recently published a E-Book that we are making available to everyone.  The E-Book provides training for Latter-Day Saints to Become Self-Reliant.  Click here to download.
